Our story

The HeyCoits pitch in 22 parts: what we are building, why it matters and where we are going. CoitsMoves is being built for the whole UK, with London as our pilot and Dublin supported in testing.

01

The problem

London's roads are shared by mopeds, cyclists, cars, taxis, buses and pedestrians – but the tools to navigate and report problems are scattered. Road danger, congestion, crime and road damage are all reported in different places, if they are reported at all.

02

Reporting is fragmented

A pothole goes to one website, a closure to another, a crime to a third. Most people don't know which one to use, so many problems never reach the people who can fix them.

03

Our solution

CoitsMoves: one shared community map. It plans routes that are legal for your vehicle, and lets anyone report a problem in seconds – sent automatically to the authority responsible.

Built for the street

Routes that respect the rules for what you ride – and a map that warns you about what is ahead.

04

Every road user

Mopeds (50cc and 125cc+), cyclists, cars and taxis each get routes that follow their own rules. One map for the whole street, not just for cars.

05

Legal-only routing

Bus lanes are checked by vehicle type and operating hours, turn bans and access restrictions are respected, and London's 20mph limits are built in. If a road isn't legal for you, we won't route you there.

06

Four buttons on the map

Council (green), TfL (blue), Police (purple) and SOS (red). Reports are made only when safely stopped, with the pin dragged to the exact spot.

07

Road problems to the right council

Potholes, damaged surfaces, drains and hazards open a pre-filled FixMyStreet report for the right London council. Burst pipes and leaks go to Thames Water. The app shows “Will be sent to: [council]” first.

08

TfL and live traffic

Jams, closures and accidents reported with the TfL button appear on the live map for other road users, and routing avoids closures. Live traffic look-ahead warns of jams early.

09

Easier police reporting

The Police button opens the Metropolitan Police's own online form for the right crime type – theft, drugs, dangerous driving or antisocial behaviour. CoitsMoves is not a police report itself; official reports always go through the Met.

10

SOS

For real emergencies the SOS button is tap-to-call. In an emergency, always call 999.

11

Live buses and trains

Live London bus arrivals, and a Bus & Train mode that compares up to five journeys with fares, with changes warned in advance.

12

Book a ride

Black cab via FREENOW or Gett, Uber, Bolt and Addison Lee – CoitsMoves opens their app with the trip ready.

13

Hire an e-bike

Lime, Forest, Santander, Voi, Dott, Bolt and e-hop from one place, with live Santander Cycles dock availability.

Every way of getting around

Walk, cycle, ride, catch a bus or book a car – compared in one place.

14

Search London and Dublin

Postcodes, addresses and Irish Eircodes across both cities, plus chain branch search to find the nearest store.

15

A map people enjoy

Stylised 3D buildings, calm day colours and a warm night mode. A map designed to be clear at a glance.

16

Community help

Neighbours helping neighbours: every report makes the map better for the next person on the road.

17

How we differ

Google, Apple and Waze are built mainly for cars. CoitsMoves adds rider-legal routes and community-reported road problems sent to the right authority – in one place.

18

Data & partnerships we are seeking

We are working towards partnerships with TfL, the Metropolitan Police, London councils, FixMyStreet, Thames Water, Uber, Santander Cycles, TomTom and others. Partnerships in progress – none is signed yet. We propose a free joint pilot in one borough, with anonymised data shared back to partners.

19

Privacy and safeguards

Designed for UK GDPR: anonymised exports (rounded location and time, no reporter identity), notes cleaned of number plates and contact details, aggregated hotspots only, and a DPIA before any pilot. Users are never individually identified or reported.

20

Business model (proposed)

A free app for road users, supported by an optional Premium subscription and local business advertising, with data subscriptions for agencies offered only after a pilot proves value.

21

Roadmap

Now: CoitsMoves live with report buttons, SOS, council routing and live traffic. Next: a joint pilot and a partner dashboard. Then: more boroughs and native apps. CoitsLocal – community and local delivery – is planned for London in mid 2028.

22

Our ask

We are looking for investors and partners: named contacts at TfL, the Met and a pilot borough, and early investment to grow the team and infrastructure. Get in touch to talk or request a demo.
